HAPPY NEW YEAR 2006
Christmas & New Years has come and gone.
Passports and visas have been completed and handed in.
Excitement is growing as well as the team.
Now more attention will be given to learning the Russian language and also learning of their culture.
As a team we will be eating at a Russian eatery in Revere (I think) and we will also attend a Russian church service in Peabody. Not only that, we will be spending more time with each other learning our strengths and weaknesses. This preparation is essential because the Lord is preparing our way as we need preparation to be able to serve.
I would ask that anyone reading this would keep the region, the orphanage, their workers, the children, the 2 missionaires, T.E.A.R., Leo and Nadia and of course the BPC team in each of your prayers.

Prev yet!
Last night we had a wonderful meeting. Tom talked about how we became involved with TEAR, how Leo and Mike met, and why we are serving this particular orphanage. It is in a VERY poor part of Russia, and few come to care for the children. It also was the heart of the communist movement. we learned a few conversational items, like how to say hello, tell people your name and the important things like: I am hungry/thirsty Need the toilet.

Zdravstvuitye (Hello)
It's the day after Christmas and I can really see this trip taking shape.
Thank you Sue for setting up this blog. Whatta great idea!
I have begun the study of the Russian language and hope to be able to, at least, understand and speak more than just a few phrases of the language. To be able to do this, in my opinion, shows respect to the citizens of whatever country one may be visiting and can help you get more enjoyment from the trip.
